BURUNDI SBC PASTORS CONFERENCE HELD AT MUTIMBUZI

Date: September 8-9, 2017

Location: Pastors Conference held at  Mutimbuzi in Eglise Evangelique de l’Amour (Evangelical Church of Love).

Number of Participants: The first day 32 people attended the Pastors conference and the second day 20 people participated in the SBC Pastors conference. The second day the number of participants was less due to a political protest held in the area which did not facilitate or allow to some of the participants to have access to transportation. Among the 32 church leaders who attended the SBC conference 6 were Pastors from different local churches and denominations.

After the above mentioned Conference held in Mutimbuzi, one of our SBC team members was invited by a pastor of a Baptist church to meet the local church leaders and tell them about the work of the SBC program in Burundi. This was a result of different testimonies given of those who had an opportunity to attend SBC Conferences held in different areas.  The work of Burundi SBC program is be heard in different areas due to all the different testimonies being shared by those who had the opportunity to attend SBC Pastors Conference.

During the conference, church leaders and pastors are equipped and encouraged   to actively participate in the accomplishment and furtherance of the Great Commission given of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Testimonies:

·         Pastor  Godfroid Sinzumusi said: “SBC Pastors Conference is a blessing for me and the church that I am pastoring. The congregation will not be as it was before”.

·         Mrs. Apostle   Louise Kanyange said:” Before attending SBC Pastors Conference, I did not know that I was in spiritual warfare and that I will be finished when I die or called by our Lord Jesus Christ. Now I know and am well equipped. I am happy to know the 4 strategies to find and help me against the enemy.”

The Burundi SBC team is grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for having the opportunity to organize the Pastors Conferences and actively participate in the accomplishment of Great Commission. We thank God for Grace Community Church and Pastor Ted Groves for enabling us to help the church in Burundi.
