Dear Rev. Ted Groves and the Missions Committee,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are writing to report that we successfully conducted the SBC Conference in Jiokow, Maiwut County, in a remote rural village, from April 25–27, 2026. The conference was a great blessing to the people of Maiwut.

The participants included pastors, elders, and evangelists who are actively involved in church leadership and preaching the Gospel throughout the rural areas of Maiwut. After completing the conference and receiving the SBC books and other materials, they expressed their deep appreciation for both the teachings and the resources provided. They shared that these materials would greatly strengthen their ministries, equipping them to reach many more people for Christ and to serve more effectively than ever before.

We were especially encouraged by the diversity of the participants. A total of 50 people from different tribes attended the conference. We give thanks to Almighty God for bringing these people together through the SBC ministry and for providing an opportunity for them to learn, fellowship, and be equipped for Gospel ministry.

We are sincerely grateful to the GCC Missions Committee for your financial support, prayers, and partnership in making this conference possible. Your support is helping equip faithful servants of Christ who are ministering in remote and rural areas, where there are many opportunities to share the Gospel and plant churches.The conference was provided with security by the army because participants from many different tribes came together for the gathering. We thank God for His protection and for enabling us to conduct the conference successfully and peacefully. Please see the photo below from the SBC Conference in Jiokow, Maiwut County.

May the Lord richly bless each one of you and continue to use the SBC ministry to advance His Kingdom and reach many more people for Christ.
