SAMUEL MITROFAN IN TIMISOARA ROMANIA

Dear pastor Ted and co-workers in Christ,

We appreciate your prayers and your support to make the SBC Conferences possible in this part of Europe. Even if in many places the younger generation is not as much interested in spiritual disciplines, here in Timisoara. I found a group of young brothers and sisters willing to grow and are eager to learn more about how to grow in Christ likeness and how to apply the SBC disciplines into their daily routine.

Timisoara is in the Western part of Romania, not far from the Hungarian border and has quite many Evangelical churches, some of them quite large and we had a strong team to help us organize the training.

The seminar was a very encouraging time for the 30+ participants, some of them were young professionals and the format was a little bit different because people there recommended me to use more dialog and interaction with them. We split the participants to four tables and almost for every section they had to work at the table together and in this way they put the things they learned together.

It was like a real workshop with a lots of discussions and input from all sides and in this way we have been able to help them exactly in the areas where they most needed it.

Many people appreciated the teaching, the exposure to so many Bible references about their specific needs and many of them expressed their gratitude and I want to pass this also to you. It was a very nice group, many of them had totally committed to following Christ and to implement the SBC spiritual strategies in their lives.

The host church provided also snacks and beverages for the participants and they were very warm to us.

I came back the next day on the 25th of January back into Bucharest by plane with a great joy that God is still working hard in the hearts of the young generation and if they commit themselves totally to Lord's guidance, they can grow and be the future pillars for the next decades in the ministry.

I saw again the great interest for such teaching from the Scripture and the importance of relevant materials and methodology. We praise the Lord for such a blessed fellowship together!

Be richly blessed!

Samuel
